Something to ponder! CAN A MUSLIM BE A MUSLIM-AMERICAN?

With the stark reality of the se facts, why in the world are Americans
voting Muslims into office?... Seeing the Muslim sworn into the US
Congress, brought this article to mind. What do you think? I think this
pretty much sums up this question!!!!!! We are living in the twenty first
century version of the "Crusades" Have you ever thought -- Is
Muslim-American really an oxymoron? Can a devout Muslim be an American
patriot and a loyal citizen?

I forwarded that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20
years. The following is his forwarded reply:

"Theologically, no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of
Arabia .

Religiously, no. Because no o the r religion is accepted by his Allah except
Islam (Quran, 2:256)

Scripturally, no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam
and the Quran.

Geographically, no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he turns
in prayer five times a day.

Socially, no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends
with Christians or Jews.

Politically, no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders),
who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America , the great
Satan.

Domestically, no. Because he's instructed to marry four women, beat and
scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).

Intellectually, no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution
since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be
corrupt.

Philosophically, no. Because Islam, Mohammed, and the Quran do not allow
freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist.
Every Muslim government is ei the r dictatorial or Autocratic.

Spiritually, no. Because when we declare "one nation under God," the
Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as
heavenly fa the r, nor is he ever called love in the Quran's 99 excellent
names."

Therefore after much study and deliberation.... Perhaps we should be very
suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both
"good" Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish....it's still the
truth.

If you find yourself intellectually in agreement with the above
statements,perhaps you will share this with your friends. The more who
understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The
religious war is bigger and more complex than most Americans currently know
or understand.

It's A Comin'

Three strangers strike up a conversation in the airport passenger lounge
in Bozeman, Montana, while awaiting their respective flights.

One is an American Indian passing through from Lame Deer. Another is a
Cowboy on his way to Billings for a livestock show & the third passenger
is a fundamentalist Arab student newly arrived at Montana State
University from the Middle East.

Their discussion drifts to their diverse cultures. Soon, the two
Westerners learn that the Arab is a devout, radical Muslim and the
conversation falls into an uneasy lull.

The cowboy leans back in his chair, crosses his boots on a magazine
table and tips his big sweat-stained hat forward over his face.

The wind outside is blowing tumbleweeds around, and the old windsock is
flapping; but still no plane comes.

Finally, the American Indian clears his throat and softly he speaks, "At
one time here, my people were many, but sadly, now we are few."

The Muslim student raises an eyebrow and leans forward, "Once my people
were few," he sneers, "and now we are many. Why do you suppose that
is?"

The Montana cowboy shifts his toothpick to one side of his mouth and
from the darkness beneath his Stetson says in a smooth drawl . .

STORY OF ELIJAH
The Sunday school teacher was carefully
explaining the story of Elijah the Prophet and the false
prophets of Baal. She explained how Elijah built the
altar, put wood upon it, cut the steer in pieces, and laid it
upon the altar. Then, Elijah commanded the people of God
to fill four barrels of water and pour it over the altar.
He had them do this four times. "Now, said the teacher,
"can anyone in the class tell me why the Lord would have Elijah
pour water over the steer on the altar?" A little
girl in the back of the room started waving her hand, "I know! I
know!" she said, "To make the gravy!"

LOT'S WIFE
The Sunday School teacher was describing how
Lot's wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt, when
little Jason interrupted, "My Mummy looked back once, while she
was driving," he announced triumphantly, "and she turned into a

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD

A Sunday School teacher decided to have her
young class memorize one of the most quoted passages in the
Bible; Psalm 23. She gave the youngsters a month to learn
the verse. Little Rick was excited about the task -- but,
he just couldn't remember the Psalm. After much practice,
he could barely get past the first line. On the day that
the kids were scheduled to recite Psalm 23 in front of the
congregation, Rickey was very nervous When it was his
turn, he stepped up to the microphone and said proudly, "The
Lord is my Shepherd, and that's all I need to know."
Church Smiles

There was a very gracious lady who was
mailing an old family Bible to her brother in another part of
the country. "Is there anything breakable in here?" asked
the postal clerk. The lady replied "Only the Ten
Commandments".

There is the story of a pastor who got up one
Sunday and announced to his congregation: "I have good news and
bad news. The good news is, we have enough money to pay
for our new building program. The bad news is, it's still
out there in your pockets."

While driving in Pennsylvania , a family
caught up to an Amish carriage. The owner of the carriage
obviously had a sense of humor, because attached to the back of
the carriage was a hand printed sign ... "Energy efficient
vehicle: Runs on oats and grass. Caution: Do not step in
exhaust".

Sunday after church, a Mom asked her very
young daughter what the lesson was about. The daughter
answered, "Don't be scared, you'll get your quilt."
Needless to say, the Mom was perplexed. Later in the day,
the pastor stopped by for tea and the Mom asked him what that
morning's Sunday school lesson was about. He said "Be not
afraid, thy comforter is coming."

I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business. We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations. I don't hate the rich, I don't pity the poor. I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television. That doesn't stop you from watching them. I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better, and put your name on the building. 4. Teaching Math In 1980: A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of Production is $80 and his profit is $20. Your assignment: Underline the number 20.

5. Teaching Math In 1990: A logger cuts down a beautiful forest because he is selfish and inconsiderate and cares nothing for the habitat of animals or the preservation of our woodlands. He does this so he can make a profit of $20. What do you think of this way of making a living? Obituary of the late Mr. Common Sense

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 -year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments
became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; " I Know My Rights ", "Someone Else Is To Blame" , and "I'm A Victim".

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

A man checked into a hotel in Brazil . There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an e-mail to his wife.

However, he accidentally typed the wrong e-mail address, and without realizing his error, he sent the e-mail. Meanwhile ............ .somewhere when a widow had just arrived home from her husband's funeral, she decided to check her email, expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she fainted.

The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which Read:

To: My Loving Wife

Subject: I've arrived

Date: June 3 , 2005

I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now, and you are allowed to send e-mails to your loved ones. I've just arrived and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing you then!

Wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone,
we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected,

because Jesus already paid the bill.
